Mr. Coro began his classical art training at just 11 years old, studying at the Dalia Condis Art School in New Jersey. This early education laid the groundwork for his deep commitment to the arts.
He went on to earn his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from Jersey City State College in 1990 and later achieved his Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) from Rutgers University in 1992.
His formal training has provided him with a solid foundation in traditional techniques and an in-depth understanding of visual arts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Coro has been honored with several prestigious awards that underscore his dedication and skill. In 1987, he won the Liquitex Fine Art Achievement Award, followed by the Brendan Byrne Fellowship at Rutgers in 1990. He was also awarded the Rutgers Teaching Fellowship in 1991, the Pollock-Krasner Grant in 2006, and most recently, the Mas Grant in 2020.
Each of these achievements highlights his impact in the art world and his role as an influential artist.
